Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA): COPAA is premised on the belief that the key to effective educational programs for children with disabilities is collaboration -as equals- by parents and educators. This is the premise of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act, the federal statutes that guarantee children with disabilities a free, appropriate public education.

Disability Scoop: Disability Scoop is a national news organization serving the developmental disability community including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and intellectual disability, among others. National Center for Learning Disabilities: NCLD provides essential information to parents, professionals and individuals with learning disabilities, promotes research and programs to foster effective learning, and advocates for policies to protect and strengthen educational rights and opportunities.
National Dissemination Center For Children with Disabilities: NICHCY offers a wealth of information on disabilities. They serve the nation as a central source of information on: disabilities in infants, toddlers, children, and youth; IDEA, which is the law authorizing special education; No Child Left Behind (as it relates to children with disabilities), and; research-based information on effective educational practices.
